Squad Kayak Training
Come along to Sandridge to train up for your next event. Sessions are held in groups and focus on paddling skills, ocean techniques, fitness and race readiness. Learn from one of Australia’s most experienced AR paddlers.

What to wear
Wetsuit, thermal tops and bottoms, booties, old runners, beanie, or speedos depends on what the weather is doing. Please bring along a white light/headtorch for training before and after sunrise and sunset. Booking
Book in for each group session to make sure you have a kayak to paddle - sessions are very popular and there are only 20 craft available. Don`t worry about the number of kayak you select in your booking - it makes no difference. You just need to book in and we will make sure you are paddling the right kayak on the day.

Thursday 6am - 7:45am Flat Water Yarra River Training
Where: Herring Island, Kanteen cafe carpark, 150 Alexandra avenue South Yarra. When: 6am - 7:45am What you need to bring: All paddling gear, including kayak, paddle and pfd. (Peak Adventure will not be supplying equipment for this paddling session unless arranged in person before the session) What does the session involve:
- 10 min warm up
- 40-80 main set
- 10 warm down
Session focus is on:
- Flat water technique
- Improving boat speed and run
- Improving wash riding skills
- Video feedback
Session is ideal for paddlers training for:
- Multisport events
- Adventure racing events
- Marathon kayaking events
- Ocean racing events
- All level of paddlers welcome
Compulsory coffee after each session at Kanteen Cafe.
